TempusLex

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using TempusLex (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

TempusLex is a support tool for computing Italian procedural deadlines — civil, labour, administrative, and tax procedure. It provides deterministic computation with statutory citations, case-file management, email reminders, PDF and iCalendar exports. It is not legal advice. See the disclaimer for details.

3. Accounts

You authenticate by email magic-link. You're responsible for keeping your inbox secure. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Plans: Solo €14/month (€140/year), Pro €39/month (€390/year), Studio €99/month (€990/year, 5 seats included; €19/month per extra seat). All prices are in euro, VAT excluded; Italian 22% VAT is calculated and remitted via Stripe. All plans include a 14-day free trial without card. Cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Consumers based in Italy benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal under Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code).

5. Acceptable use

6. Intellectual property

We retain rights in the Service, the computation engine, the rules registry, and editorial content (including the calculator SEO pages and blog articles). You retain rights in the data you enter (case references, parties, deadlines, notes) and receive a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use and archive the PDF reminders and .ics files we generate for your case files, including beyond the subscription term.

7. Warranties & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Liability for the loss or miscomputation of a procedural deadline is expressly excluded: verification remains the lawyer's responsibility, as set out in the disclaimer. TempusLex is a support tool and does not replace professional diligence.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. On termination, access to the Service ceases at the end of the current billing period; data remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days and is then deleted, subject to legal retention obligations (typically 10 years for invoices). For full exports before deletion, email [email protected].

9. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Rome, Italy, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email to active users at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes to computation rules (e.g. statutory updates) are instead published on the blog and, for Pro and Studio subscribers, emailed as targeted procedural-update notifications.
